The Problems You’ll Solve

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior iOS Engineer with deep expertise in device, audio, and video processing to join our team. This role involves working on a live streaming iOS application that is in the top charts in the US. You will work with WebRTC and other streaming technologies, enhance audio capabilities, debug issues with 3rd party hardware and libraries, and implement real time features while being part of the team that builds out the ios side of our mobile offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize aspects if our iOS app, with a focus on audio, video and realtime processing.

  • Implement and optimize low latency pipelines for real-time communication.

  • Optimize third party libraries.

  • Utilize Core Audio, AVFoundation, and other iOS multimedia frameworks to enhance media playback, recording, and processing functionalities.

  • Work closely with hardware and firmware teams to optimize device-level interactions for better media performance.

  • Develop and maintain reusable, scalable, and efficient Swift/Objective-C code following best practices.

  • Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and benchmarking.

  • Stay up to date with the latest iOS development trends and advancements in media processing technologies.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration of features.

  • Ship code a to production a few times a week.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have an attention to even the smallest details and has a passion for building top of the line mobile applications.When applying, please provide links to your github profile and apps in the app store you have worked on, and your specific contributions to those apps.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Highly skilled in iOS development with a strong focus on audio and video processing.

  • Deep understanding of ios audio and video frameworks.

  • Experience with real-time media streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, RTMP, HLS, RTP/RTSP).

  • Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, System Level APIs

  • Strong understanding of iOS system architecture, memory management, and performance optimization techniques.

  • Experience with machine learning (a plus).

  • Experience with real-time communication (a plus).
