Who You Are:
Familiar with Safety & Privacy Legislation: You have a solid understanding of global online safety and privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and online content regulations.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: You have excellent project management skills and can keep up with complex reporting schedules and deadlines.
Adaptable in a Fast-Paced Space: You thrive in an evolving environment and are comfortable managing ambiguity while driving projects forward.
What You Will Do:
Research and Monitor Regulation: Stay up to date on emerging safety and privacy regulations and assess their impact on the platform’s policies.
Ensure Timely Report Submission: Manage and submit all necessary safety, privacy, and compliance reports (both internal and regulatory) within the required cadence and deadlines.
Internal Compliance Audits: Periodically audit processes and practices to ensure they meet safety and privacy compliance standards.
Policy Implementation: Work closely with product and engineering teams to implement compliant changes and advise on risk mitigation.
Review Technical Specs: Review technical specifications, product designs, and engineering documentation to ensure compliance features are built into new features and system updates.
Training & Awareness: Train internal stakeholders on the latest compliance standards and raise awareness of safety risks.
What We Are Looking for:
3-5 years of experience in Trust & Safety, legal compliance, or privacy roles, preferably within a live-streaming or startup environment.
Deep knowledge of safety and privacy laws like GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, ePrivacy Directive, DSA (Digital Services Act), or similar global regulations.
Experience submitting reports to regulatory agencies or conducting internal audits.
Strong research and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey legal or technical concepts to non-experts.
